I’m Katrine Trolle, your dedicated coach, offering a welcoming and results-oriented approach.
I place great emphasis on both the physical and mental aspects of training, as focus and balance are essential in everything we do.
A bit about me:
I’m 38 years old and the proud mother of two wonderful children, who live with me every other week in Nærum.
Sport has always played a major role in my life, and I love challenging myself and my body. I’ve completed 8 IRONMAN races and 20 half IRONMAN events.
After the birth of my children, I’ve primarily focused on running training, but I continue to help others achieve their IRONMAN goals. I have many years of experience as a coach at SATS and have run various training businesses.
For four years, I worked with global partnerships at IRONMAN, but I miss being close to the athletes – guiding and supporting them toward their training goals.
Although I’m competitive by nature, training is, first and foremost, a source of joy for me – it’s about maintaining balance, both physically and mentally.

Katrine taught me to love running!
I've played handball ‘all my life’ – it’s always been my passion and my outlet. After I stopped and had two children, I was looking for a way to stay active that gave me energy and was fun. I always found running boring, so I asked Katrine if she could teach me to love it. She took on the challenge. Already at the first training session, she told me that we could work on both my running economy and technique. With my background as an engineer, I love diving into details – and Katrine picked up on that immediately. Our training sessions include room for discussing the exercises and understanding the technique and details, while still getting a proper workout. It’s amazing to feel how running has already become easier – and I’m just getting started.
After watching me run for just two minutes, Katrine quickly identified the cause of my injuries. She recorded a video and explained how my landing position and posture were placing strain on my body, and how my running shoes at the time weren’t helping me. Katrine advised me on footwear and helped me gradually change my running technique. The difference between the first and last video is striking – among other things, I’ve learned how to work with gravity rather than against it. I no longer experience the same pains and truly enjoy running with improved technique.
My goal is to run longer distances without pain, and I know that my enhanced running skills will also make me faster.
My coaching journey with Katrine has been inspiring and given me deep insight into my full potential as a runner.
When I decided to train for an IRONMAN, it was obvious to me that Katrine had to be my coach. Her expertise and care gave me peace of mind – I knew she had full control over my training and development, and that all I had to do was follow the tailored programs she provided. I quickly became part of the community Katrine created with the other athletes she trained.
Katrine stands out as an exceptional coach because she sees the whole person, not just the physical performance. She makes sure you're engaged in the process and supports you when things feel impossible. Her support has been invaluable – especially during the toughest times.
At IRONMAN Copenhagen, Katrine was my indispensable guide and biggest supporter along the course to the finish line. An experience I will never forget.
